St. Louis Public Schools System Fulfills Retirement Obligation
The Public School Retirement System of the City of St. Louis has received the 2005 annual required Employer Contribution from the St. Louis Public Schools System. Thank you St. Louis.

Many of our members have expressed an interest in the future of the Deferred Retirement Option Plan (DROP) program.
It is our understanding that the Board of Education of
the City of St. Louis will be considering a resolution at its April 27, 2004
meeting to end the DROP sooner than July 1, 2005.
It is our further understanding that if the
Board of Education adopts an amendment to end the DROP, the amendment will not
affect members who are already participating, but will close the program to
future participation.
We have been advised that St. Louis Public Schools will provide a notice to eligible employees immediately after the April 27th Board of Education meeting if an amendment to end the DROP is adopted.
The special election to fill two vacancies for Active, Non-Certificated Trustee members to serve on the PSRSSTL Board of Trustees for the unexpired terms ending December 31, 2006 and December 31, 2005, is completed.
Members elected Ms. Helen L. Herndon to complete the term that ends December 31, 2006.
Members elected Mr. Joseph H. Davenport to complete the term that ends December 31, 2005.
St. Louis Public Schools System Fulfills Retirement Obligation
The Public School Retirement System of the City of St. Louis has received the annual required Employer Contribution from the St. Louis Public Schools System in an amount totaling nearly $19 million. Thank you St. Louis.
