Sick Leave Conversion Program
Contact the Human Resources Department at St. Louis Public Schools with questions about applying for the Sick Leave Conversion Program.
To be eligible, you must file a Notice of Intent to Retire Form with the Human Resources Department
Your unused sick leave will be applied
Approximately one month after you retire, you will elect to have your Supplemental Pension Benefit paid to you over a specific period of time – as few as three or as many as ten years.
Your Supplemental Pension Benefit will be paid by a separate check, will require a separate beneficiary designation, and will be subject to income taxes.
Important Note: In addition to submitting the Notice of Intent to Retire Form referenced above, approximately two months before you retire you must file your Official Notice of Retirement Form with the Human Resources Department, and you must file the Necessary Forms discussed in this brochure with the Retirement System. |
